Oscar Gill-Lewis
Oscar is a recent graduate of the University of Chester, where he studied European and Latin American history and politics, with a particular focus on Spain. He further developed his interest in the topic and fluency in the language, living in both Costa Rica and Spain. Oscar is interested in European politics, especially Spanish politics. He focuses on populism, anarchism, and nationalism as well as regional nationalisms like those in Andalusia and Catalonia. Oscar is a Local Coordinator in the United Kingdom for Students for Liberty. He is one of the Bastiat scroll writers for the year 2024/2025 and the Correspondent Program Manager on the Speak Freely magazine editorial board. Oscar is a passionate writer, fighting to make sure his generation’s argument in favour of liberty is heard. In his free time, he enjoys reading the Western classics and writing poetry.
