Young Voices 2024 Wrapped

Friend,

As we approach the end of another extraordinary year, I want to share with you the incredible strides Young Voices has made in 2024. Thanks to support from people like you, Young Voices was able to achieve the following impact.

Record-Breaking Media Exposure: As a result of Young Voices’ pro bono media placement services, our writers reached an astounding 90.7 million viewers in 2024. That’s over 1,900 media appearances including on major platforms like BBC, CNN, Fox News, The Wall Street Journal, and USA Today. The voices of our contributors promoting free markets and limited government have never been louder.

Teaching Freedom to High Schoolers: Young Voices’ Dissident Project is a speakers bureau connecting immigrants who escaped tyrannical regimes with high schools at no cost. In 2024, we organized 58 talks in high schools, reaching 6,200 students with powerful stories of freedom from immigrants who have escaped oppressive regimes like those of China, Cuba, North Korea, Iran, and Venezuela.

Debating America’s Most Pressing Issues: Young Voices launched two quarterly debate series, one in Washington, DC, with the American Institute for Economic Research, and another in New York City with CiVL streaming platform. Together, these events garnered over 30,000 views online in just one month, fostering critical thinking and dialogue on pressing issues.

Supporting Our Published Authors: Young Voices celebrated the literary achievements of two of our writers who have published books, hosting 11 events for Alexandra Hudson's The Soul of Civility and Caleb Franz's The Conductor, including prominent guests Dr. Francis Fukuyama, Lord Dan Hannan, and Virginia Postrel.

Connecting Our Writers to Top Scholars: This year saw our largest cohort yet of policy fellowships, tackling vital topics like social mobility, federalism, the Israel conflict, and the moral foundations of capitalism. Over two dozen of our writers learned from top scholars from the Acton Institute, Foundation for Defense of Democracies, Wall Street Journal, and more.

Connecting Our Writers to New Jobs: We've been proud to see our writers move into new roles at major publications and think tanks like the New York Post, The Free Press, Houston Chronicle, St. Louis Dispatch, Americans for Prosperity, and the Manhattan Institute, showcasing the real-world impact of our training and support.

This is just the beginning! At Young Voices, we have a decade-long record of increasing our organizational strength and reach year-over-year. This will not be broken in 2025. As I write this, I’m working on some major partnership efforts, one of which we’ll be announcing next week.

To support us in these efforts, if you haven’t already, please consider making a year-end donation to Young Voices. Your generosity ensures we can continue to empower the next generation of leaders for liberty.

Support Our Work

Sincerely,
