Hekmat Aboukhater is the director of Young Voices' NextGen Debates series and a researcher with the Quincy Institute's Democratizing Foreign Policy program. Previously, Hekmat wrote as an Investigative Journalist for The Grayzone, Mintpress News, and Responsible Statecraft. Prior to joining Young Voices Hekmat worked with the United Nations Department of Peacebuilding and Political Affairs. Hekmat completed a BA in International Relations and Economics at Boston College, and a Masters in International New Media from EDJ Nice, France.
