Alexander William Salter is an economics professor in the business school at Texas Tech University and a researcher at TTU’s Free Market Institute. He also holds fellowships with the American Institute for Economic Research in Great Barrington, Mass., and the Independent Institute in Oakland, Calif. He has written more than 500 opinion pieces, which have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, National Review, The Hill, and dozens of other outlets.
