Jonas Du

Jonas Du is a student journalist and commentator at Columbia University, where he studies political science and economics. He is the editor-in-chief and founder of the Columbia Sundial, a campus magazine dedicated to investigative journalism and political discourse, and the latest heterodox publication in the Ivy League. Jonas was an editor at the Columbia Daily Spectator’s opinion section in 2022 and was an editorial intern at Reason magazine in 2023. This summer, Jonas will join The Free Press. Originally from Atlanta, Jonas grew up as the son of Chinese immigrants and inherited an understanding of the importance of free markets and uninhibited discourse in building a prosperous society.
