Jordan McGillis is a Paulson Policy Analyst at the Manhattan Institute and an Adjunct Fellow at the Global Taiwan Institute. He writes about energy, geopolitics, and economic progress. In October 2023 he will take over as Economics Editor at City Journal, the Manhattan Institute's flagship publication.
McGillis is a regular contributor to National Review, The American Spectator, The Breakthrough Journal, and City Journal. His research on carbon pricing has been cited by the U.S. House Committee on Ways and Means. His research on energy geopolitics has been cited by The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, the Congressional Research Service, and the U.S Defense Department's Journal of Indo-Pacific Affairs.
McGillis previously served as Deputy Director of Policy at the Institute for Energy Research and he is the author of the John Locke Foundation’s 2021 electricity policy monograph, Energy Crossroads: Exploring North Carolina’s Two Energy Futures.
