Since 2014, William Barclay has worked together with various international political actors, organizations, and community leaders, in order to help successfully resolve unique political challenges throughout North America and Europe. For example, William has consistently participated in emergent human rights discourse and policy forming at political summits, such as the UN Human Rights Council and the European Parliament, as well as at all levels of the Canadian government.
Moreover, William is frequently invited to speak at academic institutes, such as the University of Oxford, McGill University, and UC Berkeley, and his research has been published by a variety of international organizations and peer-reviewed journals, such as Palgrave Macmillan, the Macdonald-Laurier Institute, the Journal of Liberty and International Affairs, and the Aga Khan Foundation. Furthermore, William’s work has also been published by various newspapers, such as The Hill Times, The Times of Israel, and the Toronto Sun.
Finally, since William is a Jew and emphatically mixed-race, his ‘lived-experience’ has afforded him with an intimate understanding of the intricacies that inevitably coincide in order to produce ‘identity’ and ‘experience’ within society. In fact, William has rapidly become an acclaimed advocate for the Jewish people, as well as the state of Israel.
