"Young Voices is a tremendous asset for young people capable of expressing their ideas clearly & boldly - and has been an invaluable part of my personal career as well. It's been a crucial element in my journey from an aspiring journalist to representing major clients before the world's largest companies."

Isaac Willour
Shareholder Engagement, Bowyer Research

"I was hired on the strength of my experiences, especially my articles and TV appearances through Young Voices. If it weren't for the opportunities I've had as an Advocate, I wouldn't be where I am today."

John Dale Grover
Program and Management Analyst in Strategy Integration, Bureau of the Fiscal Service

"Young Voices is a key resource for young journalists and policy professionals looking to make their voices heard. Writing well and building relationships with editors are invaluable career skills that employers rarely teach intentionally. Young Voices can help young professionals cultivate these skills much faster.”

Tyler Koteskey
Policy Director, Concerned Veterans for America

"Young Voices provides an invaluable service to young journalists and policy analysts. The media arms at most organizations have their hands full promoting their senior writers, which leaves them with little time to push out young professionals' work. The staff at Young Voices helped me place op-eds, book radio shows, and make connections with editors. I cannot recommend this program highly enough."

Jared Meyer
Partner, August Strategy Group

“Young Voices was essential in kickstarting my journalism career. From developing my writing skills to the extra exposure, I wouldn't be where I am today without the help of Young Voices. As the program grows, I'm impressed by what Young Voices advocates are doing to spread liberty in the U.S. and around the world.”

Jason Russell
Managing Editor, Reason

"From my time working, writing, and doing TV/radio for Young Voices, I developed a sense of voice and an ability to weave story, heart and evidence to my delivery. From becoming a published author, TV commentator and show host, Young Voices prepared me for all of it."

Stephen Kent
Public Relations Specialist, Consumer Choice Center

"Young Voices has equipped me with the tools to succeed in various aspects of the media space. Their training, expertise, and overall support are unmatched."

Cooper Conway
Senior Policy Analyst, Secretary of Education, Youngkin Administration

“Over the course of four years, I went from writing for my student newspaper, to becoming a regular political broadcaster on national television and radio programs, and from there, I became a news editor at one of the world's biggest newspapers. The training, guidance and wealth of connections that Young Voices provided was invaluable in spearheading my career. If you are an aspiring journalist, policymaker or commentator, then you must join the Contributor Program."

Bill Bowkett
Assistant News Editor, Daily Mail

“Thanks to the resume and confidence I was able to build as a Young Voices contributor, I'm now an editor at Reason, the premier libertarian media outlet. Without Young Voices, I would be nowhere near as sure of myself and my professional path as I am now."

Fiona Harrigan
Associate Editor, Reason Magazine

“During my transition to law school, Young Voices has been truly instrumental, allowing me to leverage what I learn in the classroom in my writing. During my first semester, I published op-eds about issues that are important to me in national publications, including the Wall Street Journal and New York Post.”

Rachel Chiu
J.D. Candidate, Georgetown University

“Young Voices has taken my writing to new heights. They helped me transition from academic to popular writing and get published in outlets like National Review and the Wall Street Journal. Thanks to Young Voices, doors are opening for me as a public intellectual that I couldn't have gotten through on my own."

The recent actions by the U.S. government towards Venezuela have left many observers scratching their heads. Harrison Griffiths says, the White House faces a clear moral choice.

This week on Moving Forward, the Young Voices radio show, we hear from Donald Kimball, Oliver Dean, Joseph Bouchard and Sofia Hamilton.
With all the media attention being given to NYC's new mayor Zohran Mamdani, it's easy to forget that Seattle has also elected a socialist mayor. Donald Kimball explains how Katie Wilson has the potential to be a West Coast Mamdani.
Last week, YouTuber and activist Gary Stevenson, and Dr Kristian Niemietz of the Institute of Economic Affairs debated whether a wealth tax could solve Britain's economic woes. Oliver Dean says Stevenson had a prime opportunity to learn from a real economist why he's wrong on economics.
Last weekend's U.S. raid on the living quarters of Venezuelan president Nicholas Maduro may have tamped down fears of a larger invasion, for now. Joseph Bouchard wonders, could Maduro playing to Trump's ego help avoid war?
Kratom isn't a new drug but its popularity has been growing in America. Sofia Hamilton suggests that proper regulation, rather than prohibition is the best way to ensure consumers of Kratom have reliably labeled and formulated products.

January 1, 2026 —
It is with sadness that I share the news that Dan Grossman, a member of Young Voices’ Board of Directors, has passed away. Dan was a friend and mentor to me from the earliest days of Young Voices as a nonprofit, and a generous supporter of our work and of many other free-market organizations. I’d like to share a few reflections on his life and impact.
Death is always difficult to confront, but Dan was never afraid of it. He once told me that he was ready whenever his time came and that he treated each day as a gift. He lived fully—traveling often, keeping a full calendar of meetings with the organizations he supported, and staying deeply engaged with friends and family. Despite limited mobility, Dan insisted on walking as much as he could with his cane, always with a cheerful disposition and a genuine appreciation for life. I aspire to carry forward that same joy and perspective as I grow older.
Dan was also remarkably sharp. His decades of service on the boards of at least nine organizations gave him an exceptional command of nonprofit governance. He was unfailingly responsive, caught even the smallest clerical errors, and brought a disciplined focus to ethics, mission, and donor intent. His guidance made our work stronger.Yet for all he accomplished, Dan was deeply humble. He preferred to work behind the scenes and rarely sought recognition. Many people never even knew how he built his success—through an office supply catalog business long before the internet era. When asked, he would simply say he was a lucky man who built something that couldn’t exist today. When he was honored with the 2025 Sir Antony Fisher Award at the Atlas Network’s Freedom Dinner, his acceptance speech consisted of just two words: “Thank you.”
Dan also challenged me to think bigger. Money can be an uncomfortable subject in the nonprofit world, but he spoke about it candidly. At nearly every meeting, he would ask how large I envisioned Young Voices becoming. When I suggested a figure—say, $5 million—he would respond, “Why not $10 million?” He taught me that when an organization is well governed and mission-driven, growth is not something to fear; it is a sign of greater impact.
I will miss Dan deeply. I am grateful for his friendship, his wisdom, and his example, and I will continue striving to be the kind of leader for liberty that he encouraged me to become.
Sincerely,
Casey Given

This week on Moving Forward, the Young Voices radio show, we hear from Mackenzie France, Cláudia Nunes, Jack Rowlett, and Satya Marar.
Some instances of media bias are easier to spot than others. Mackenzie France explains how the BBC's Israel problem has been apparent for years.
It's never a good idea for the state to substitute its force for the decision-making power of the consumer. Cláudia Nunes says California's crackdown on Pharmacy Benefit Managers could raise, not lower, drug prices.
Europe's Digital Markets Act is a good example of what not to do when regulating the technology sector. Jack Rowlett warns that America must avoid Europe's tech regulation disaster.
Tariffs and other trade barriers can negatively impact competition and innovation while raising prices. However, as Satya Marar explains, the Trump administration's agreement with Britain's National Health Service is a rare win-win for both countries.

Supporters and friends,
2025 has been another record-breaking year at Young Voices! We've placed 2,234 media hits promoting free markets and individual liberty, reaching an estimated audience of over 200 million.
Big numbers don't tell the whole story, however. Every single media hit is pushing the careers of rising thought leaders for liberty forward. Below are 10 standout media moments that capture the breadth, reach, and impact of Young Voices' contributors this year.
Thank you so much to our supporters, partners, and friends like you for making this work possible. Here's to more victories in the year ahead!

This week on Moving Forward, the Young Voices radio show, we hear from Lora Karch, Kyle Moran, and Iulia Lupse.
Syria's new president has found favor with Western powers, despite his checkered past involvement with terrorists. Lora Karch wonders, should the West legitimize the "New Syria"?
Conservatives who are befuddled as to why younger voters would embrace socialism, may be the ones giving those voters a reason to vote that way. Kyle Moran says, if conservatives won't defend capitalism, who will?
The role of Pharmacy Benefit Managers or PBMs is often misrepresented by companies that wish to compete against them. Iulia Lupse explains why Mark Cuban is wrong about PBMs.

This week on Moving Forward, the Young Voices radio show, we hear from Ted Newson, Bojan Lazarevski, Sam Raus and Tate Kaufman.
The temptation to label political opponents as "Nazis" is too much for some to resist. Ted Newson explains why such a label is an insult to those who actually fought against totalitarianism.
Nicotine pouches have become a popular alternative to cigarettes, vaping and smokeless tobacco. Bojan Lazarevski says, Europe should seek to regulate, rather than ban those pouches.
Pharmacy benefits managers are catching a lot of heat these days over the skyrocketing cost of prescription drugs. Sam Raus clarifies, it's really the bureaucracy that's to blame for high prices.
When the U.S. government seized $15 billion in cryptocurrency back in October, it also took a big step in a dangerous direction. Tate Kaufman lays out how such a move could impact the separation of powers.

Last month, Young Voices wrapped our inaugural Liberty Comms Lab (LCL) summit—a year-long communications accelerator we launched in partnership with the Rising Tide Foundation to help free-market think tanks across Europe sharpen their messaging and expand their media reach.
Communication strategy is one of Young Voices’ core strengths, and LCL gives us a powerful new channel to share that expertise movement-wide. Over three immersive days at Rising Tide’s headquarters in Switzerland, our team worked closely with 10 classical-liberal think tanks in a series of hands-on workshops focused on:
It was a privilege to collaborate with such a talented group of European communicators. In the months ahead, Young Voices will continue providing individualized support as each organization rolls out its new strategy and strengthens its public presence.
And we’re just getting started. Building on the momentum of LCL, our team is now exploring new ways to scale this model—including the possibility of launching a similar program for American think tanks. Much more is on the horizon. Stay tuned!

This week on Moving Forward, the Young Voices radio show, we hear from Aidan Grogan, Satya Marar, Ed Tarnowski, and Agustin Forzani.
What will Zohran Mamdani's win in the NYC mayoral race mean for that city and for politics in general? Aidan Grogan examines the possibilities of Mayor Mamdani and his champagne socialism.
President Trump's deal to lower drug prices is good news to Americans tired of paying high prices for weight loss drugs. However, as Satya Marar explains, there are tradeoffs to Trump's 'fat shot' plan.
Driverless vehicle technology is coming at us fast. Ed Tarnowski shares his thoughts on the new Luddites who are pumping the brakes on driverless cars.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is supposed to protect American consumers from unsafe food and drugs. Agustin Forzani asks, who is protecting the consumer from the FDA?

This week on Moving Forward, the Young Voices radio show, we hear from Maggie Anders, Anthony De Luca-Baratta, Chloe Sparwath and Brayden Myers.
The end has come for the "pink tide" revolution that swept across Bolivia nearly 20 years ago. Maggie Anders says, Bolivia isn't the only country that is stepping away from socialist promises.
The recent election of an openly socialist mayor in New York City is due, in part, to economic struggle. Anthony De Luca-Barrata explains why Trumpanomics is pushing young people toward socialism.
The growth of antisemitism on the nation's college campuses has been alarming. But Chloe Sparwath takes it a step further, saying, Northwestern University needs to cut its ties to terrorists.
Free market capitalism is a poorly understood term because it's often framed in left/right terms. Brayden Myers explains why capitalism is a matter of liberty versus authoritarianism.

Young Voices had a busy—and inspiring—week at Atlas Liberty Forum in New York!
First and foremost, I want to personally congratulate Dan Grossman, this year’s recipient of the Atlas Network’s Antony Fisher Award. Dan has played a pivotal role in the growth of numerous organizations in the liberty movement, and I can't think of anyone more deserving of this prestigious recognition.
Young Voices is proud to count Dan as one of our earliest advisors and board members. We wouldn't be where we are today without Dan's steadfast support, strategic counsel, and belief in our mission.
Thank you, Dan, for everything you do for Young Voices and the liberty movement.
Young Voices also hosted two networking events during this year's Liberty Forum.
On Wednesday evening, we hosted our young professionals' happy hour with our friends from State Policy Network. It was an evening filled with great conversations and new connections!
Then, Friday, Young Voices held a special workshop, Strategy Lab: Defending Freedom in the Digital Arena, in partnership with Rising Tide Foundation. This peer-to-peer strategy session brought together liberty-minded communicators to share practical tactics for promoting and defending classical liberal principles in digital media.
Sincerely,
Casey Given

This week on Moving Forward, the Young Voices radio show, we hear from Emily Ekshian, Simon Laird, Satya Marar, Mike Viola.
The government shutdown has left many sectors of our lives untouched but there one where its impact is being felt. Emily Ekshian says cryptocurrency competition is the growing power play.
The stock market may be soaring to new heights but there are good reasons to be cautious. Simon Laird warns that the surging market isn't necessarily a sign of a strong economy.
President Trump's efforts to bring down U.S. drug prices may be well-intended but they come at a cost. Satya Marar says, there's an alternative.
When the government shutdown began more than 41 days ago, there were dire predictions that there would be shockwaves throughout the markets. Mike Viola says, investors didn't really care about the shutdown.

With the federal government sending agents and National Guard troops into crime-stricken U.S. cities, the question arises as to how crime got so bad in the first place. Ed Tarnowski explains why the American city cannot blossom in lawlessness.
One of the lesser-known features of president Trump's Big Beautiful Bill was an opt-in federal tax-credit scholarship program. Kevin Garcia-Galindo says school choice doesn't need federal funding.
When it comes to pain relief, opioids are a mixed blessing in that they can provide relief but at the risk of dependency and addiction. Joey T. McFadden says it's time to move beyond opioids because there is a new medication that can relieve pain without addiction risk.
